With
great sadness, I must announce the passing of my dear friend George Lee Lutz.
Mr. Lutz passed away suddenly on the afternoon of May 8th, 2006.
One of Lee's great passions was feeding the homeless. The family requests

The Amityville Horror
House In
Dallas, Texas, while Attending
HauntCon 2005, Mr.
John Clontz of the Deadly
Shoals Haunted Trail was reviewing a few historic photographs, when something
in the picture caught his eye. We have discovered that there is much
more here than just a picture of the "notorious" house, and we ask you to
examine it for yourelf. MovieWeb Talks To George Lutz - The Original Owner Of The
Amityville
Horror: Jodi doesn't like George... and
neither does MGM. This interview does discuss a few 'surprises' held
within the framework of the new Amityville Horror film. Trust us, though,
it won't ruin your enjoyment any more or any less if you read this article
first. In fact, we strongly recommend that you do read this interview
before buying a
ticket.
Braineater.com reviews "The Amityville
Horror" George and Kathy... I refuse
to call them "the Lutz's", because whoever they are or were, and whatever
really happened to them, and whatever they did as a result, the Lutz's were
real human beings who deserve the most basic respect as real human beings.
Probably the biggest insult offered by the movie is its insistence that it
is "Based on the True Story", since it presents an exceedingly unflattering
picture of the family. This movie is shallow, cowardly and a complete sell-out.

story, no true tension', incorrectly stated that "that family that the original
book is based on has admitted that their story was a hoax". On April
28, the Times Recorder issued a correction... which can be viewed using the

John
Ketcham: Man Or Myth? One
component of "The Amityville Horror" is the mystery surrounding a man named
John Ketcham. A fable popped up somewhere that a man named John Ketcham
was drummed out of Salem for practicing witchcraft... only to take up residence
in Amityville and continue his black
magic.
